Meet Elliott.

This mug was thrown on Klayton’s handmade treadle wheel that was given to him by a friend. Powered by pumping his foot rather than simply pressing the pedal on his usual electric wheel, Klayton has a different experience making these mugs. In order to differentiate them from his typical mugs, he treats the bottoms with this unique design created by a special cut wire. This gives it a more spontaneous, less refined look that is too textured to stamp with the usual logo. On this mug, he impressed the logo design into the side of the bottom, which was completely filled in by the thick glaze application. If you look closely, you can see a slight ghost image of the logo to the side of the handle at the bottom of the mug.

Marble action will get smoother with regular use.

All of our pottery is made from durable stoneware clay. It is microwave, oven, and dishwasher safe. We recommend hand washing.
